PRF-110

PRF-110 is a viscous clear oil-based solution that is instilled (deposited) directly into the surgical wound, and spreadable over the complete wound surface, to provide localized and extended post-operative analgesia. Its physical characteristics and composition are key to it being well-tolerated and its ease of use. PRF-110 is highly viscous and stays in place when in the surgical wound bed after closure of the wound. PRF-110 is easy to administer, and its use is consistent with current surgical practice.

PRF-110 components are well characterised and considered safe. Ropivacaine, the active drug used in PRF-110, is a safe and well characterized local anesthetic. The components that make up the remainder of the PRF-110 formulation are classified as GRAS (Generally Regarded as Safe) by the FDA.

OcuRing

OcuRing™ is a bio-erodible sustained-release implant applied to the haptic of an intraocular lens (IOL) for use in cataract surgery. OcuRing-KTD is the first application of this technology with Ketorolac as active ingredient. Ketorolac is a NSAID widely used for treatment of pain and inflammation post cataract surgeries that is currently prescribed as eye drops.

OcuRing-KTD greatly improves drug bioavailability allowing for reduced doses of ketorolac and lowered risk of side effects. The application during surgery removes the need for tiring drop application regimen, resolves compliance concerns and enhances both surgeon and patient satisfaction.
